Andrea is a charismatic, driven, eloquent woman. She is a consummate entertainer with a passion for health and well being. Andrea portrayed these attributes by sharing her life experience on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser. Hard working, determined, focused and truly a leader, Baptiste sustained her compassion and approachability enabling her to create allies which resulted in her becoming the most popular finalist. Andrea is the only cast member to return to subsequent episodes of “The Biggest Loser”, so she may inspire and motivational coach the new teams the way she does the public. She has inspired men, women, and children to lead healthy lifestyles and lose weight, while become a familiar face here and abroad, especially to the African-American community, where Andrea has become a significant role model. In fact, NBC was besieged with emails from more fans (from all over the world).
Andrea succeeded to shine above and beyond her cast mates. She did this by demonstrating a true work ethic and strategic initiative. Producers refer to Andrea as “The Rock”. The Rock persona was given to her as a result of not only her unwavering mission and objective to win but also for her strength and dedication. This was evident in the final tally when Andrea became the final female Biggest Loser.
Andrea has parleyed her experience on this competitive show by becoming a motivational speaker and advocate for health and wellness. She has inspired men, women, and children to lead healthy lifestyles and lose weight, while become a familiar face here and abroad, especially to the African-American community. Currently “The Rock” has speaking engagements across the world. Some of these workshops include work with: The American Heart Association (which she is a national spokesperson); The American Diabetic Association; American Cancer Society; The Women’s Health Organization (a branch of the NIH); BlackDoctors.org; The Imani Health Group; and most recently been asked to speak at the upcoming Sports International conference in Jamaica, and Barbados. Andrea continues to be sought after for appearances and workshops.
On a local level, Andrea hosted the 2007 New England Urban Music Awards, has teamed up with the New England Patriots and Shaw’s Supermarkets “What moves U” program; She is a celebrity model in the AHA Go red fashion show; She is a guest speaker in Boston’s Body and Soul Symposium; and speaks to many local groups and kids on the importance of empowerment, self-appreciation and overall wellness. Andrea is continuously featured in print and has co-hosted many radio shows, as well as seen on entertainment television, and national talk shows, including Larry King Live, The Today Show and The Tyra Banks Show. She also co-hosts and co-produces a Boston based magazine talk show called Wake Up Live with Corey and Drea
